Introducing our new Bequest Coordinator
We are delighted to introduce the Sargood Bequest’s new Bequest Coordinator, Jess Reiher. Jess comes to us with a rich and diverse background, characterised by a deep commitment to community service and impact. Based in Wellington, Jess’s philanthropic experience comes from sitting on the Nikau Foundation grantmaking committee for her hometown of Porirua since 2019.
Jess graduated earlier this year from Victoria University of Wellington as one of the top Bachelor of Commerce graduates in Information Systems and Management. As well as business and systems skills with experience in consulting, research, strategy development and project management, she has a wide range of experience in community involvement and volunteering. This includes being Vice-President of the VUW Student Volunteer Army, a volunteer charity consultant, and a youth advisor for the Ministry for Pacific Peoples, founding the Pacific Youth in Business initiative.
"I’ve learnt so much about the community and the power of philanthropy through being involved in grantmaking,” says Jess, “I’ve got a real passion for impactful community connections and strategic support and I’m very excited to be a part of this next chapter for the Sargood Bequest. It’s an honour to be in a role where I can witness such inspiring work across Aotearoa.”
We’re thrilled to welcome Jess to our team, and are confident that she will play a pivotal role in advancing the Bequest's mission and fostering positive connections with our community partners.
