The Sargood Bequest is a philanthropic family trust founded in 1939 by Sir Percy Sargood. As a charitable trust, The Sargood Bequest makes grants to community organisations throughout Aoteaora.
Purpose of the fund
The Sargood Bequest exists to strengthen people, place and culture across Aotearoa New Zealand. We support community-focused initiatives that build connection, resilience and self-determination, helping groups take practical steps toward lasting positive change.
